There's NO chance the Paratrooper could fold while riding.
The safety lock recessed drop out for quick release prevents the frame from folding even with quick release not fully tightened.
The US marines have tested these folding bikes under heavy load bearing conditions and they have come through with flying colours. If it good enough for these guys, it’s good enough for anyone. |

The Paratrooper is superior to other folding bikes because it is full size with 26” wheels and has a rigid aluminium frame, as well as many other standard parts. This makes for easy service and repair.
The Paratrooper folding bike comes equipped with front suspension, 24-speed EZ Fire Plus shifters, and heavy duty double cage aluminium pedals to tackle the roughest terrain.
The Paratrooper is convenient and easy to store in a closet, vehicle, plane or boat. The military use these folding bikes because they can be easily carried for airdrop, thrown in the back of a truck, or strapped to the side of a tank. Many civilian paratrooper bike owners find their folding bikes easy to travel with on trains and commercial airline flights.
Special features include the Montague Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T) The patented seat tube folding system preserves the structural integrity and inherent strength of traditional bicycle geometry.

"Here’s a bike you can
drop
out of an airplane,
check as luggage,
strap on the side of a tank, travel over any terrain,
store in a closet,
and ride into combat
or to a picnic."
